Sutter County Sheriff Takes New Job

YUBA CITY, Calif. (AP) – Sutter County Sheriff Jim Denney is stepping down to become executive director of the California State Sheriffs’ Association. He’s recommending that county supervisors appoint Undersheriff Paul Parker as his successor. Denney is

   WASHINGTON (AP) – The FBI has opened an investigation into
whether baseball great Roger Clemens lied to Congress when he
denied taking steroids or other performance-enhancing drugs.

First Black Woman Named To Lead State Assembly
