KENNEDY SPACE CENTER (AP) – The countdown is under way for
Thursday’s scheduled liftoff of space shuttle Atlantis on an 11-day
mission.
Forecasters put the odds of acceptable conditions at just 40
percent because of a cold front and rain expected on launch day.
Friday’s outlook is much better: 80 percent.

Due to icy conditions and the need for snow removal on campuses, Pine Ridge School and Cedarwood Elementary School in Magalia will be closed today. All other Paradise Unified School District schools are open. P-U-S-D says busses will run on their regular schedules.
