Cattle Plant Was Previously Cited

     CHINO, Calif. (AP) – Federal officials have extended a ban on
use of meat from a Chino slaughterhouse shut down this week for
allegedly mistreating cattle.
     Officials also say the facility had been previously cited for
using electric prods on animals.

LINDA, Calif. (AP) – A former levee control district president is facing child molestation charges. Seventy-year-old Rex Archer of Linda is accused of abusing two girls.
