Red Bluff Police Investigate Shooting

Red Bluff authorities tapped a CHP helicopter to look for a suspect in a shooting this week.  Police say a man allegedly fired several shots from a car as he left an apartment complex on Walnut Street Wednesday. No injuries were reported. Police located the suspect’s car, but not the driver.

Severed Fingers of Redding Man sent to Authorities in Iraq

REDDING, Calif. (AP) – A 25-year-old Redding man is among five security contractors whose severed fingers were sent to U-S authorities in Iraq. Mark Munns and four other men were kidnapped in November 2006 in southern Iraq. They were working for Crescent Security escorting a trucking convoy serving the Italian military.

Crash Reported in Chico

A traffic accident reported in Chico this morning. That crash happened at Bruce Road and Highway 32 just before 7 AM. Details are limited, but two vehicles were reportedly involved…at last report, the roadway was partially blocked.
