A Chico gang member is sentenced to prison after forensic evidence links him to a shooting. The Butte County District Attorney’s office says 23-year old Sergio Martinez fired multiple shots at a 28-year old man last year after the man dropped out of Martinez’s gang. Martinez was sentenced to nine years in prison this week. The shooting was one of many last summer that had Chico residents on edge.
