Orland Man Hit In Unmarked Intersection

An Orland man is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle Thursday night. Police say 74 year old Rigoberto Alvarez was hit by a van near the intersection of Woodward Avenue and East Swift Street…that intersection doesn’t have a painted crosswalk or street light. Police say the driver swerved, but was unable to avoid hitting Alvarez who suffered head trauma.
