Butte County fire officials paying more attention to the weather. A FIRE WEATHER WATCH for high fire danger has been issued in the Sacramento Valley and surrounding foothills. The watch is for relatively dry conditions and gusty north winds. Cal-Fire is asking residents to be careful outside and avoid any activity that could cause a spark. Fire Officials say they expect the fire weather watch to be UPGRADED to a WARNING this week…so they’re maintaining ABOVE NORMAL staffing.
