An alleged thief from Paradise is busted with hundreds of thousands of dollars in stolen equipment, including firefighting equipment he allegedly ripped off during the Butte Lighting Complex of fires. REDDING, Calif. (AP) – A Redding smokejumper has put his name in the record books. Tim Quigley made his 600th jump earlier this week while fighting a fire in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. A U-S Forest Service spokesman says the 51-year-old is only the sixth jumper to reach that number.
