Gas Leak in Chico Monday

A gas leak causes the evacuation of several Chico homes. Monday morning’s leak happened just after 10am at East Seventh Avenue and Laburnum. P-G-and-E’s Paul Moreno says a fence company didn’t notify the utility it would be working, and hit a gas line with an auger.

Health Dept. Confirms Bad Meat in E-Coli Outbreak

CHP: Drivers Ignoring New Cell Phone Law

Hand Grenade Found in Paradise

A surprise for a Paradise man raking leaves in his front yard Monday afternoon…Police say the man found an old hand grenade. The device was located on Bille Road. The street was temporarily blocked while authorities called in the bomb squad to remove the grenade.
