A Marysville man is dead after his truck ran into a ditch in the Yuba-Sutter area. Saturday’s accident happened on Rancho Road. The CHP says 27 year old Terry Sutton’s vehicle fish-tailed on the roadway, then ran into a ditch filled with mud and water. The truck rolled onto its roof, partially ejecting the driver. [...]

Butte County Supervisors could call an END to the local emergency that began in June with a series of fires. That issue goes before the board tomorrow (Tuesday). But John Gulserian with the local Office of Emergency Services tells KPAY there’s still work being done related to the June Firestorm and the lightning complex.

A total of 61 people arrested in Chico on Halloween night….50 of those were alcohol-related. The Chico Police Department is reporting 44 arrests for drunk in public and 6 arrests for D-U-I. A northstate hospital telling 150 workers to find new jobs. According to the Redding Record-Searchlight newspaper, 150 nurses and other employees were fired late Friday at Shasta Regional Medical Center, as the hospital’s new operators prepared to take over.
