Two new projects on tap before the Chico Arts Commission tonight. One is a bench structure at the Chico Train Depot and the other is art in a roundabout off 8th Avenue and Magnolia. Arts Project Coodinator Mary Gardner says both projects are not your ordinary art works.

One woman recovering from injuries following a traffic accident in Willows Tuesday afternoon. Police say Marie Emery collided with another vehicle around Plumas and Wood Street. SACRAMENTO (AP) – A state Assembly committee will hold a hearing today in Sacramento on the dangers of skiing and snowboarding on California slopes. The Judiciary Committee will hear from ski safety experts, members of the medical community and victims of skiing accidents. They’ll talk about how to make the slopes safer.

A drug probe in San Luis Obispo lands two former Butte County men in jail. The Gridley-Biggs Police department says Trent Meyer and Parker Leen are two of the four suspects in the case.
