OROVILLE, Calif. (AP) – People struggling to care for their horses are turning to a free euthanasia clinic in Oroville. The NorCal Equine Rescue group is sponsoring the clinic because more owners are unable to afford the high feed costs in winter. Co-founder Tawnee Preisner says she never thought it would come to this but it’s getting much tougher to find good homes for unwanted horses.
