Air Quality Poor Today

Butte County Air Quality officials are asking Chico residents not to light wood stoves or fireplaces today.  A “Check Before You Light Advisory” has been issued by the Air Quality Management District.  Air Quality is forecasting an air quality index of unhealthy for sensitive groups.

Gov Tells New Lawmakers To Get To Work On Budget

Woman ID’d In Fatal Mt. Shasta Fall

MOUNT SHASTA, Calif. (AP) – Siskiyou County authorities have
released the name of a 33-year-old New York woman who was killed
Friday while climbing Mount Shasta. Chihiro Enoki of Brooklyn died of
head injuries suffered when she fell at least 600 feet while climbing the
14,000-foot peak with two men.
