North State Assemblyman Rick Keene is starting an exploratory committee for a possible run at the Senate. Keene’s camp sent letters to District leaders recently asking for donations. Keene says he doesn’t want to make a decision until his work is done in the assembly. He says more than likely a decision will be made after the first of the year. If Keene does run, it will set up a showdown between himself and Assemblyman Doug LaMalfa for the Fourth District Senate seat currently held by Sam Aanestad.
