Paradise officials preparing for the worst today, but hoping for the best when it comes to the weather. Public Works Director Dennis Schmidt tells KPAY that snow could fall this afternoon at relatively low levels on the ridge, causing traffic problems.

Paradise Courthouse Reopens After Powder Found in Mail

A letter that contained a white powder shut down a Butte County Courthouse in Paradise for a few hours Wednesday. The letter from a man in Kentucky inquiring about his son’s court case was delivered by courier. Personnel contacted authorities, who considered it a level one hazmat, or a small amount of material.
