YUBA CITY, Calif. (AP) – A 25-year-old Yuba City man has been arrested on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter in the city’s first shooting death of the year. Police say Jose Hidalgo allegedly killed 25-year-old Lorenzo Aguilar of Yuba City Monday. They were passengers in the same vehicle. The victim was reportedly shot in the chest.

Police in Biggs say a woman shot Sunday night was not the intended victim of a drive-by shooting. The 46 year old woman was airlifted to a Chico hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.
