Fatal Crash Reported in Tehama County

One person has died after a collision in Tehama County. Redding.com is reporting a fatal collision early Sunday morning around Kirkwood and Viola south of Corning. Officials say the man collided with a guardrail and bridge abutment, and was ejected. At last report, the name of the driver had not been released.

Jobless Rate Hits 15 Year High For December in Tehama County

Construction, education, and health-related jobs taking a hit last month in Tehama County. According to the latest figures from the state Employment Development Department, Tehama’s unemployment rate hit 11.5 percent for December. That’s the highest jobless rate for the month in 15 years.
