LOS MOLINOS, Calif. (AP) – Tehama County sheriff’s officers say a 48-year-old Los Molinos man has been shot and killed in a home-invasion robbery. Deputies say two suspects broke into Clarence Puckett’s trailer and shot him early yesterday morning. The suspects also stole several bags of marijuana.

It’s unusual for farmers to use irrigation this time of year, but that’s exactly what’s happening locally as drought conditions continue. Butte County Agricultural Commissioner Richard Price tells KPAY walnut growers near the river are using the irrigation systems.

Butte County leaders have named an interim Chief Administrative Officer. The Butte County Board of Supervisors appointed Greg Iturria to the job after current C-A-O Brian Haddix announced his resignation earlier this month.
