CA Attorney General’s Office Takes Over Marysville Case

MARYSVILLE, Calif. (AP) – The California attorney general’s office has taken over prosecution of two Marysville attorneys who are accused of taking part in a bribery scheme. Yuba County District Attorney Pat Mc-Grath says the attorney general’s takeover was expected because members of the D-A’s staff could be called as witnesses in the case.

Chico Garage Goes Up in Flames

A garage fire in Chico caused about 60 thousand dollars in damage Monday. The blaze was reported on Michael Way. Cal-Fire says the cause of the blaze was electrical wiring in the attic. Officials say flames destroyed the garage and caused heavy smoke damage to the residence.

Gas Prices Hold Steady

CAMARILLO, Calif. (AP) – The price of a gallon of gasoline held steady over the past two weeks, at $2.66 for a gallon of regular unleaded.
