Housing in Chico is holding steady despite the recent downturn. Linda Almlie with the Chico Association of Realtors says recent data suggests Chico is not doing as poorly as other areas of the country.

A head-on collision on Highway 20 in the Yuba-Sutter area left one person dead, and 10 people injured Saturday night. Some Butte County officials hope the Federal Housing and Urban Development Department will help the almost 14 hundred homeless people in the county. The down economy apparently making more people destitute from even 2 years ago. Megan Malloy is with the Butte County Continuum of Care.
