America,” has died. He was 92.

A big pot bust Thursday in the Forest Ranch area. Sheriff’s officials and drug agents take away more than 85 hundred plants from two gardens. A news release estimates the street value at almost 35 million dollars. Agents say the gardens were fairly sophisticated, with kitchen areas and one even with tents for processing the pot. [...]

Chico Police nab a man suspected of robbing the Mangrove Branch of Tri Counties bank twice this week. 28 year old Christopher Babb of Chico was arrested Thursday afternoon shortly after the second robbery when the get-away car pulled into a gas station on the other side of town. One public hearing over the proposed Wal-Mart expansion in Chico not enough to squeeze in everyone who wanted to voice their opinion this week.
