NEW YORK (AP) – Walter Cronkite, the premier TV anchorman of the
networks’ golden age who reported a tumultuous time with reassuring authority and came to be called “the most trusted man in

Big Pot Bust in Forest Ranch

A big pot bust Thursday in the Forest Ranch area. Sheriff’s officials and drug agents take away more than 85 hundred plants from two gardens.  A news release estimates the street value at almost 35 million dollars. Chico Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested

Chico Police nab a man suspected of robbing the Mangrove Branch of Tri Counties bank twice this week. 28 year old Christopher Babb of Chico was arrested Thursday afternoon shortly after the second robbery when the get-away car pulled into a gas station on the other side of town.
