Efforts are underway to help raise funds for Scotty’s Boat Landing along the Sacramento River. One of those spearheading the effort is Deputy Fire Chief Hank Erik of the Hamilton City Fire Department. He says Scotty’s is crucial to rescue crews. The property for Scotty’s Landing has been cited by Butte County authorities for some 40 thousand dollars, money that must reportedly be paid in 120 days or the property could be forfeited and lost. Plans are underway to raise the money to help the property stay as is and keep the boat landing intact. One effort is tenatively scheduled for April 28th. It will be called a “Riverwalk” to save river access in that area.
