Butte County leaders will consider creating a second inmate road crew to help clean up local roadways. Public Works Director Mike Crump says the proposed additional road crew would tackle litter pick up, drainage ditch cleaning, and other manual labor duties. The Board of Supervisors will look at the request today. Crump says the county has the opportunity for an additional inmate crew because of prison realignment and Alternative Custody Programs.
