The newly drawn 3rd Assembly District has a Democrat seeking the seat. Charles Rouse announced his candidacy Wednesday. The Corning olive farmer says he’s concerned about state funding for education. He says he supports the Governor’s November tax plan, but that only starts the process of finding a long term solution to fixing California’s economic problems. Rouse is so far the lone Democrat in the race. The Republicans are Tehama Supervisor Bob Williams and incumbent Dan Logue. The newly re-drawn 3rd District includes all of Glenn, Sutter, Yuba and Tehama Counties and part of Butte and Colusa counties.
