The Butte County District Attorney’s Office says a special training this week in Chico will improve the local availability and quality of sexual assault examinations. Chief Investigator Rick West says a group of 18 nurses from Butte and Yuba counties were taught forensic photography to document injuries found on sexual assault victims. The D.A.’s Office says over the last year, 12 Butte County nurses have been trained to become Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners.
