Butte County officials are putting together their annual budget with a close eye on what the state is doing. Not only will the Governor’s May Revise tell a lot about the next year’s financial direction, but one big issue is also the Governor’s tax measure. Butte County Administrator Paul Hahn says if that measure fails, most of the cuts will probably come from education. He says the annual Butte County budget hearings will come before the Board of Supervisors in June.
