Redding Police turning to Chico State’s Human Identification Lab for help following the discovery of human remains near the Sacramento River. Police Sergeant Al Mellon says the bones were discovered Wednesday while cleaning up a homeless camp. Mellon says right now, there’s limited information available about the death, but an investigator is comparing missing person reports.
