Glenn County health officials say an Orland area woman has tested positive for West Nile. The virus was discovered after a recent blood donation. The woman reportedly did not become ill. Meanwhile, the West Nile Virus has also appeared in Butte County this year. The local Mosquito and Vector Control District says a chicken near the Sacramento River by Hamilton City has tested positive for the virus.
