BELDEN, Calif. (AP) – More than 400 firefighters are working to contain a fire in the Feather River Canyon. Fire officials say the Chips Fire has scorched more than 4 square miles near Belden. On Thursday night, it was only 5 percent contained, and full containment is not expected until Aug. 15. The fire has spread toward Highway 70, leading officials to restrict traffic to one lane for a three-mile stretch. The blaze that began Sunday has been fueled by high temperatures, low humidity and strong winds. The US Forest Service says mandatory evacuation orders for Maggie’s Trailer Park and Little Haven have been lifted.
