Two Chico parents arrested in the death of their adopted son have pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and child endangerment. The Chico ER reports a preliminary hearing is scheduled for October for Dr. James Yhip and nurse Edelyn Yhip. The two were taken into custody in July, three months after the death of their 2 year old adopted son. Investigators say the boy died in April, allegedly from blunt force trauma to the head.
