Redding Police say what appeared to be a pipe bomb was found during a traffic stop Sunday night. Officers shut down nearby gas pumps and several homes were evacuated as the Bomb Squad was called to scene. Police say the pipe bomb was rendered safe by the bomb squad. 48 year old Alan Havenhill was arrested and booked into the county jail.
