One man is dead following a standoff at a north Chico apartment complex. The Chico Police SWAT team reportedly shot and killed Wayne Renner Tuesday night in the Burnap Avenue area. Authorities had allegedly chased the suspect earlier in the morning during a high speed pursuit. Nearby homes were evacuated during the standoff.
