  1. You have two people who I think are outstanding broadcasters: Mike Baca and Bruce Sessions.

Mike is absolutely great with his sports reporting, but he is just as good when he does regular news broadcasts. He is clear, concise and articulate…wish he did the news on a regular basis.

Bruce, as we all know, is always right on the money with his commentary. I wish you would have “Tidbits” on more times during the day…

Thank you for allowing me to share my opinion.

  2. I just wanted to thank Terry, Matt, Mike,Larry and everybody else at the station for your excellent coverage of the Humboldt Fire. We live in Butte Creek Canyon, and the only information we received was through KPAY.
    Thank you again
    Margarete, Roxy and Tim Taylor

  3. Why do the staff member links go to the home page instead of to information about the staff?

  4. Thank you to all for the excellent coverage of the Humboldt fire. You were all very professional under what cannot of been the easiest of situations. Before and after I was evacuated I kept my radio tuned to 1290 for the latest updates. Thank you.

  5. Hi, where is Scott Michaels??????

  6. hey where is Scott Michaels..Thank

  7. Hey where is Scott Michaels….

  8. Kudos for your news!! A nod to your content, I like Free Speech, however, not enough ladies present for my taste. Perhaps a bit far right, but you are far out!! Keep up the good work. We need diligent news and you provide it. From a happily married, middle-aged mom.

  9. I have been meaning to email ever since the Humboldt Fires. The entire staff at KPAY should know that their efforts, sacrifices and surely lack of sleep during the coverage of the Humboldt Fires and now Butte Lightning Complex Fires was very much appreciated and needed. I was continually impressed by the clear and concise reporting of the facts within the very fluid nature of all these horrible fires. I listened to the radio and had the KPAY website up at work and home 24/7 and I have to tell you, it made a awful, awful situation somewhat bearable because all of us were in the loop and knew precisely what was happening immediately. I have never been impacted by anything like this before, so I would assume that lack of information would feed into your stress even more than the situation itself, but thankfully this did not happen as the public was kept up to date and informed. Mike Baca did a stellar job with his “in the field” reporting and everyone at the station did an equally exceptional job. Please know your efforts were recognized, and appreciated. Bravo!!

  10. We want to thank everyone at KPAY: Dino Corbin, Mke Baka, Matt Ray, Christina Craven, et al.

I monitored your programing, then E-mailed evacuations, etc. to many people. I have received several thank-yous. They rightfully belong to the staff and management of KPAY.

Friends of our’s, Don & Lavene Blumm, who live Paradise just sent this to me. I have their permission to forward it to you.

    THANKS TO EVERYONE!!

We are OK, we were fortunate. The fires are finally under control, we are being allowed to return home, and we have found in spite of wonderful and gracious friends that there is no place like home. We returned home to find nothing burned or looted thanks to many great firefighters, many a long way from their own homes, and the local authorities and many volunteers who kept watch over the evacuated areas. We wish it were possible to thank each of them personally but that is not the way it is. We would like to thank all of you also for your expressions of concern, offers of accommodation and/or thoughts and prayers. Many others were not as fortunate and will be hurting continuously and need much help while trying to recover.

When disasters happen in is rather easy to ignore if you are not close to the event or do not have friends or family or yourself affected. If it happens to you, you find out just how devastating it can be, and even if you just observe it around, you suddenly you have a new appreciation for your good fortune and it gives you a new appreciation for each and every day.

The fires are contained but not completely out so here in Paradise the air is still hazardous to breathe and your eyes still burn but it is improving daily and we hope it will soon be gone. Everyone’s driveway, roof, deck, car, lawn or is covered with ashes and has to be cleaned up, a small price to pay for not loosing everything. THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE!!
