Cost of Gas on the Rise

CAMARILLO, Calif. (AP) – The average U.S. price of a gallon of gasoline has spiked 12 cents over the past three weeks. That’s according to the Camarillo-based Lundberg Survey of fuel prices, released Sunday, which puts the price of a gallon of regular unleaded at $3.36. Oil industry analyst Trilby Lundberg says the threat by Iran to shut off the Strait of Hormuz is just part of the reason that gas prices are higher.  In California, the average statewide was $3.64, up about 13 cents.
