CSUC Students Face Unit Cap

Negotiations continue between Chico State and the Chancellor’s Office over a move to cap the number of units a student can take. The Chancellor’s Office wants to limit units to no more than 16 this fall. Chico State Director of Admissions Alan Bee says there are exceptions for graduating seniors or students in high unit majors.  He says that would keep Chico State’s graduation rate up and still allow students to take a heavy load of 16 units per semester. He’s expecting a decision soon out of the Chancellor’s Office because enrollment for fall students begins next week.
