PG and E says power has been restored to most of the Chico customers hit by an early morning outage today. The utility says 1900 customers lost power just after 2:30 AM around the Mulberry, Mangrove, and Esplanade areas. PG and E says it appears a “3rd party” came in contact with a power pole and caused wires to come down across a local highway. PG and E spokesperson Janna Morris says only a few dozen customers remain without power. Power is expected to be restored by 9 AM.
