The CHP says it took more than 2 hours to free a Lodi man following a crash on a Yuba-Sutter highway. Officers say a tow truck collided with the back of a big rig on Highway 99 at Highway 113 Wednesday. The CHP says the force of the collision partially lodged the tow truck in the bed of the loaded refrigerated trailer. Rescue crews extricated 34 year old David Vargas from the vehicle…he was taken to a north state hospital with major injuries. Officers say Highway 113 was shut down for several hours during the rescue.
