OROVILLE, Calif. (AP) – A Shingletown Boy Scout leader is facing charges in Butte County of allegedly engaging in sexual acts with two Boy Scouts. Butte County officials say 20-year-old Dustin Hedrick was arrested Thursday on suspicion of forcible lewd acts on a child under the age of 14 and one count of electronic communication with a minor with intent to commit sexual acts. Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Jason Hail says Hedrick was arrested after an investigation into allegations that he had engaged in sexual acts with a 13-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy at a Boy Scout camp in Butte Meadows. Hail says Hedrick, who is an Eagle Scout and an assistant scoutmaster for a Boy Scout troop in Redding, was arrested at his home Thursday.
