Meth Remains Top Drug Problem for Butte County Law Enforcement

Meth continues to be the biggest problem drug for drug agents in Butte County. The Butte Interagency Narcotics Task Force annual report showed there were 242 arrests in 2011, about half of them for methamphetamine. Oroville Police Chief Bill LaGrone says more than 800 pounds of meth were seized in 2011. In all, he said the value of the drugs seized last year was 9 point 7 million dollars.
