Man Accused of Growing Pot on Someone Else’s Property in Tehama County

Tehama County authorities say one man is accused of marijuana cultivation after deputies found more than 150 pot plants in Richfield. The Sheriff’s Office says an out-of-county property owner asked deputies to check the Piedmont Road property after a tip that someone was living on his vacant land. The Sheriff’s Office says 36 year old Jose Piedra allegedly moved himself onto the property and planted marijuana. He’s been booked into the county jail.
